           #55510  Adapter Fitting

Changing from Domestic Beer Keg Fitting to Home Brew Disconnects. The Change over will require two kits. One for the Co2 side and One for the Liquid Beer side.

If your Co2 line is 5/16" or 3/8" ID you will need 1 Each  kit # 55510-2

If your Co2 line is 1/4" ID use kit # 55510-1

You will need Kit # 55510-1 for the Liquid Beer line 3/16" ID

 1) Disconnect the keg fitting from the beer keg. Draw beer from the faucet to depressurize. Turn off Co2 at the tank.

 2) Unscrew and remove the hex nut from the liquid outlet side of the keg fitting. See picture above, this is the top hex nut. (Some keg fittings require a gasket. Take care when removing the hex nut from the keg fitting. Your keg fitting may have a hex nut gasket, make sure it does not get lost. )

 3) Slide the Hex nut up the tubing. With a sharp knife or razor, cut the tubing directly above the clamp. Leave no gap, cut the tubing directly above the Barb fitting and remove both the barb fitting and hex nut.

 4) Place the Hex nut over the adapter fitting. See picture #2. ( you may need to remove the small 1/4" nut & stem to place the Hex Nut over the adapter.) Before proceeding, first Slide the clamp over the tubing end. Heat the tubing end in warm water and press on to the adapter barb. Leave a 1/16" space above the nut, do not push the tubing completely down onto the nut. Next slide the clamp over the tubing at the barb end. Center and tighten. See Picture # 3. The Hex Nut can now be reattached to the Domestic Keg Fitting, or remove the small 1/4" nut from the adapter and connect your ball lock or pin lock Cornelius keg fitting.

 5) Follow the same procedure for the Co2 line.

If you Co2 line is 5/16" or 3/8" use kit # 55510-2

If you Co2 line is 1/4"  use kit # 55510-1

You are now ready to disconnect the 1/4" nut from the adapter and screw on your Ball or Pin lock disconnects for your Cornelius Keg.
